A man alone in the dark strode past a castle. A castle alight, with bright lights, casting shadows into the evening darkness. The man stopped and looked upon the castle lighted and could see and hear sounds of joy and laughter from within.

He was curious and approached the gate. He knocked on the gate to attract the guards attention and asked. “Who is giving such a jubilant party tonight?”

The guard answered. “It is the master of the field, he has returned to claim his prize and found all his flock waiting for his return”

The stranger asked. “How can I have an invitation to such a great event?”

The guard looked and said. “All you must do is ask the King of Kings to accept you into his reign and it is so.”

“How can I” said the stranger.

“You must get on your knees and profess your belief that he who was and he who always will be – has returned and can and will forgive you all your trespasses against him” said the guard.

The stranger said “How can that be for I did him no wrong?”

“Neither have any of the guests but they all accepted their guilt and asked forgiveness so that their names could be written in the book of life” the guard responded.

The stranger looked perplexed “Even though I have no guilt, that I know off, I want to join the happiness and merriment within the walls of the castle.” -“Very well” said the stranger. “I will also profess the belief of the King – now may I enter?”

The guard looked at the stranger “Verily I say unto you, without the belief on the son of man, you will by no way see the throne of God.”

The stranger again asked “How can I believe what I have not seen?”

The guard responded saying “If in your heart you do not not believe and in your soul you do not accept the forgiveness of Christ, in no way will you enter into the peace of God almighty.”

Again the stranger asked “Who may this Christ be?”

The guard looked at the stranger and said “Here I am believe and be saved.”

“Blessed are the those who believe without seeing. Blessed are those who declare their faith without touching the Kingdom of God. Blessed are the men and women who follow the ways of the Lord through poverty and riches.”

“Blessed is the man who renounces his life and puts on the faith of the almighty. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.”

To this the stranger looked upon the Lord and said “I know you not for you have not done anything for me, so I refuse to accept your invitation.”

Back into the dark road the stranger walked not realising, that his mistake, will cost him his eternal happiness. For as we speak, he now burns in hell with the rest of the unbelievers who were shown, yet refused to believe on the graciousness and forgiveness of the almighty God.

Do not be a fool as the stranger was, accept life – reject death, accept life – reject death. Accept and you will be accepted in the name of Jesus forever and Amen.
